Yawn!

Have I been sleeping long? Someone has turned the lights on and man it's freezing in here! They keep the body temperature a little low after surgery which is less stressful on the heart. They slowly warm me up as they wake me up. I finally got a peek at Mom and Dad, they look like they have been ran over by a Mac Truck. Hey! they also took that awful tube out of my throat and I guess I'm breathing on my own. I still have a nasal canula, but my oxygen levels are good.

P.S.

I'll have to tell you all about the dream I have been blogging in my sleep some day.

Madox, my Grandson, you truly rock
As your life has started with a lot of hard knocks
Making people, including doctors, think outside the box
Even inspiring Uncle Ken to shave his locks
Madox, my little man you have proven you're strong as an ox!

Love you little buddy,
Grandpa Patridge

Lil Madox,
What a strong fighter you are! We know mommy and daddy and the rest of your family and friends are so very proud of you. One day, when this all seems like just a bad dream, your parents will explain the scar on your chest and you will learn just how special you are! Until then, keep fighting. Keep getting better. Continue making everyone so proud!

Kurt and Jen,

Thanks so much for the continual updates. You must be exhausted! Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and your family. Please let us know if you need ANYTHING at all.

God Bless,
Jim and Michelle

WOW! We are truly impressed with Grandpa Patridge's poetry! hehe! Surely Grandma must have helped him with that ;) Although we are so thankful for the blessing of Dr Gandhi's skill in surgery you tell him that you aren't lazy you're just "cool, calm and laid back"! I can't seem to get anything done while waiting for your next blog entry so please keep them coming!! (Be sure and get plenty of rest though) Hope Mommy and Daddy can have the couches in the corner again tonight and get some rest too!
Luv ya all, Mike and Karen

Off the ventilator!! Way to go big guy. Kyle told me to go check on that boy. He still cant wait to play with you!! Tell mom and dad thanks for the updates. I got online today at work - the website was blocked but I figured a way to unblock it. I am sure I will be pulled into the big bosses office soon!! Oh well, I think they will understand. Keep doing well. Kyle still talks about playing with you. I keep telling him you are not quite ready for a playdate but that you will get there soon.

Hey buddy! I tell my mom often to check the computer to see how well you are doing. I am so glad you got that tube out. Tell your mom and dad this blog is awesome. I know my mom has been really worried and this was a great way to keep everyone informed quickly so you will really owe it to your parents for this. Keep doing well and hope to be able to visit you when you get home. Take care.

Hugs and Kisses

God has carried you all through, one moment at a time. Today was the original due date ~ and is Madox's one week birthday! Thankful for Madox, who is well on his way to improved health! Thanking God for progress (way to go "pee-pee"!) and continuing to pray for him, the medical team, and the family!  We anticipate more good news as we trust in God's awesome power. Hugs to ya'll!

With a thankful & prayerful heart,
