One Step Back

I guess I am just tuckered out: pee, eat, poop, stop draining, all with no oxygen. My Oxygen levels started dropping, so I get my nasal canula back on. I just need to get some good rest. My nurse keeps pushing me to get off the oxygen. My lungs are staying clear so far with first X-ray and nurses and doctors keep listening to my lungs.
I can't wait to show everyone my scar.

Although I am back on the oxygen, they think I still might me heading home tomorrow or Monday. They may send me home on oxygen, but the nurse, Mom and Dad are trying to wean me off the oxygen. Just need my lungs to stay clear. Mom and Dad are pretty nervous about going home with me on oxygen, so were hoping to get rid of that today or tonight.

Madox, could you be any more adorable?! Even though you're cute, you shouldn't make your parents nervous (there's plenty of time for that later!)Work, work, work is all you hear, but keep up the good work and get off that oxygen.

We're keeping you all close in prayer.

I thought you werent going to be scaring us anymore. Try to get off your oxygen soon so you dont have to go home with it. We are still praying for you and Fisher too. Have you given him any good lessons yet? Hang in there. By the way, I wont be coming tomorrow. It sounds like your parents are really busy and you need the rest to get well.

Hey guys,
We could not be happier about how well Madox is doing. We love you all so much and can't wait until you're all home. We have continuously been thinking/praying/checking blog updates about Madox nonstop as I know everyone else has. Times like this really makes us stop and take a moment out of our crazy lives to realize what's truly important. Can't wait to see you all soon.

Love to all,
Lisa, Eric, Carter & Karly

Madox,
We've had internet issues at the smith household and i couldn't check your blog yesterday. My goodness you have been a very busy guy since Thursday night! Glad to see that OVERALL you have been following orders. So, i see that Dr. Ghandi has made a discharge list for you. One thing i can tell you about your Mom is that she is a list maker too. So...take care of that oxygen business so she can mark that one off! :) Keep up the good work and you'll be home before you know it. I noticed that Grandma and Grandpa P call you Mighty Madox. Such a fitting name. Reminds me of David and Goliath. Strength and might are not measured by size of your body, but by your faith. Tell your mom and dad to keep the faith and get some rest.
All our love and prayers
Lori Smith and fam
PS. Glad to hear about your buddy Fisher too!

Kaden and I out to plant the flowers (SHH!it's a surprise for mom and dad). Hopefully you can come home tomorrow or on Monday.
Love,

Madox,
You impressed the heck out of me last night and this morning. I suspect you will go home when you are ready to go home. As for going wireless, that can be a little complicated, just ask your Grandma P and Jen.

PS. Take it easy on Mom and Dad, they aren't young pups anymore.

Just letting you know we are so glad you are getting along so well. See ya when you get home, might see you tomorrow if you don't come home. Love, Grandma and Grandpa Ratliff

Hey Madox,
I hate it that you took a step back because of the oxygen but...it's just a baby-step. You'll be breathing on your own quite soon, I'm sure. We're all pulling for you and praying for you. And we pray for your Mom and Dad, too.

Madox, it sounds like you have a bit of your mother in you! You have your list and you are motivated to cross those items off so you can come home! Good for you! Keep up the great progress. We are all proud of you. Speaking of proud, you should have seen your big sister today! She did great! She'll have some pictures ready for you to look at when you come home. Mom would not have believed it! She must've growled before she came like before a basketball game! Very cool. We would love to come see you, but it sounds like we'd better wait until you get back to Sherman. I'm thinking dad and mom would like some home cooked food vs. Applebees for the hundredth time! We'll plan on visiting with you then so you can show off your scar. You can make up a great story about it to impress the girls when you get older! Hope Fisher is doing well! We'll see you soon!

Love, Dan, Jodi, Morgan & Mason

Madox, it was great seeing you today. We loved that we were able to get down and spend a few hours with you today. I hope that they have the oxygen issue while sleeping fixed before they release you. It will make coming home much less stressful for you and your mom and dad. Make sure that you tell your mom and dad that we enjoyed being able to visit with them and have lunch today at Applebees. I'm sure that they are tired of eating there though. Also, make sure that you tell your mom and dad to get some rest tonight. They definitely need it. We want to make sure that the next time we check on your blog, that there is exceptionally good news! You keep amazing us, though! So keep up the good work! Hugs and Kisses!

Sounds like things are going well! I love the new pictures, what a cutie you are. I hope you can make it home soon, we miss everyone. I must say that the new neighbors are pretty nice as well. Lots of fishing going on - Davis' grandson caught an 18 pound (I think) catfish this morning. Kaden and Jacob stood brave by that big fish, no crying. Then the boys went mushroom hunting and found enough to cook up. Sounds like Kaden had a moment out in the woods too. Too funny...

Take care and hope you make it home soon! we are over at Zibutis' for Jack's Bday. Emma says hi and hope you make it home soon.
