Check Please

Dad told me that Grandma B always said a healthy baby sleeps with his arms above their head.
I woke up to bright lights this morning with Dad taking pictures of me. Then Dr. Gandhi came in this morning and took out my stitches, does that guy ever take a day off. I was able to keep my oxygen levels up all night long CHECK! They were a little concerned about my feeding because it had dipped yesterday, but I had a good showing last night to get my 24 hour total to about 14 oz. which satisfied my feeding requirements CHECK! One more CHECK and I could be getting my ticket home, they say it takes a lot longer by car than by helicopter. I guess I will be finding out soon.

Great news Madox. You look great. I hope you come home today, it's a beautiful day so far in Sprinfield the sun is out. Tell Mommy once things return to normal and she can think about work or her leave from work that I work in the Personnel Office of DHS, if she needs anything or has questions about anything I'd be happy to help.

Take care and keep up the good work. Everyone is very proud of you and your parents.

SERIOUSLY, MADOX IS SOOOOOOO CUTE!!
I LOVE the picture with his arms over his head! Jen and Kurt, take a deep breath. A higher power has been holding Madox in the palm of His hand throughout all of this, and He will continue to do just that!

Cydne and Kaden, not to worry, you guys were just as cute when you were newborns! We can't wait to see all of you (and of course, celebrate Christmas for goodness sake!). No, Carter and Karly have definetly NOT forgotten!

HUGS & KISSES TO ALL OF YOU!!
Love, Lisa, Eric, Carter & Karly

(We will continue to pray for Fisher and his family that they will have the same miraculous progress that Madox has had.)

Madox,
We are so glad to hear you are heading home. Uncle Ken has headed west and will be so sad to miss your homecoming. I know he will continue to check your blog and say prayers for you, your parents and siblings. This next step is a big one and I am sure Mom and Dad will have many sleepless nights until you show them how perfect you are!! I love the picture of you sleeping and one thing I know for sure is Grandma B was usually right!! It looks like Dr. G has done fine work and we are very thankful he never takes a day off!! The two of you have made quite a team!! Maybe someday when you are all grown up, you can take his job and he can take some time off!!! Until then, just eat, sleep, poop and pee, but take it easy on the noodle, it is pretty cool! As for the title of this mornings blog entry, "Check Please", I'm not sure I'd ask for this check, this might be a good time to dine and dash!!!
Kurt and Jen- It is ok to exhale a little now. Madox is coming home and I trust he has and will continue to be in good hands. God gave him to you because He knew would do all the right things for Madox. This will be a challenge at first, but let us help take care of you while you take care of your 3 little gifts!! Take care and we'll talk to you soon!

Love, Aunt Jennifer and Madie
